Your loved one has invested in their career, now it is time to help them invest in their profession!

Over the last 150 years, the California Pharmacist Association (CPhA) has strategically positioned ourselves in front of Congress, the California State Legislature and State Agencies to benefit pharmacy practice. In doing so, we have established many important relationships that allow CPhA to advocate for important advancements that benefit the pharmacy profession.

As a member of CPhA, your loved one will receive the following benefits:

Advocacy

California is home to over 47,000 pharmacists, and pharmacists represent the second largest health profession in California. As part of a patient’s healthcare team, it is imperative that pharmacists take part in legislative and regulatory discussions to ensure that we set proactive policy. That is why CPhA has an expert team of lobbyists that anticipate challenges, create solutions, and ensure that the profession is respected and utilized to the fullest.

EDUCATION

In addition to providing educational training specific to licensing requirements, CPhA offers leadership and legislative training to members to ensure that pharmacists excel in their professional careers.

NETWORKING

We realize that pharmacists are stronger together and benefit from frequent interactions with like-minded professionals. That is why there are 32 local chapters of CPhA that are governed by the locally-elected Board of Directors who promote the profession regionally and host monthly networking events.

PROFESSIONAL BENEFITS

Whether it is beginning a business, refinancing student loans, finding liability insurance, access to legal advice, or anything in between, CPhA offers members a one-stop shop with every tool they may need to start or advance a pharmacy career. CPhA has thoroughly vetted each of our partners and ensure that members have access to only the best resources in the profession.

Communications

CPhA uses a variety of platforms to ensure that members receive up-to-date information relating to advocacy, industry news, events, and urgent alerts. New professionals barely have time to rest, and therefore, CPhA takes the lead in researching, alerting and ensuring that members are in the know, as news happens. At any given point in time, members are connected through the cpha.com website, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram and have news and updates at their fingertips.
