Member Spotlight
How long have you been a member of CPhA/SVPhA?
I’ve been a member since my 2nd year of pharmacy school.
How do you define success?
Success is reaching meaningful goals while continuously growing, solving problems, and making a positive impact on patients, coworkers, and the community.
What do you enjoy most about pharmacy?
What I enjoy most about pharmacy is knowing that even small actions, like clarifying instructions or explaining how to use a medication properly, can have a big impact on someone’s health and peace of mind.
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment to date?
One of my greatest accomplishments to date has been organizing and raising donations for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk.
What is the most important skill you have developed in your career?
The most important skill I’ve developed in my career is attention to detail, especially in a pharmacy setting. Accuracy is critical when handling prescriptions, verifying medications, and ensuring patient safety.
Why did you originally pursue pharmacy?
My interest in pharmacy began when my son became seriously ill as a baby. Watching how medications played such a crucial role in his recovery made a lasting impression on me. It opened my eyes to the impact that pharmacists and medicine can have on people’s lives, and it inspired me to pursue a career where I could help others in the same way.
