Webinar: Advocacy 101: Legislative, Grassroots, Political
This webinar will inform participants about current California legislation that is affecting the pharmacy profession. In addition, participants will be educated on how to effectively advocate on behalf of their profession regarding pharmacy practice and patient access issues to their elected Legislative Representative.
CPhA will also provide an update on changes taking place in 2019 to enhance the California Pharmacists Political Action Committee through a membership dues restructuring.
Advocacy 101 Objectives
After this presentation, participants will learn and understand:
- 2018 California state legislation that will affect the pharmacy profession.
- How to advocate for the profession to local elected officials in the state legislature.

Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Credit
The California Pharmacists Association (#0113) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Upon completing an evaluation form, participants will be awarded up to 1 hour (0.1 CEUs) of Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit. A statement of credit will not be issued. Participants may log onto the CPE monitor website using their individual log in to download their statement of credit. Please allow 4 weeks for processing of CPE credits to the CPE monitor.
