Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery
This class will be delivered virtually via Zoom
APhA’s Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery is an innovative and interactive practice-based educational program that provides pharmacists with the skills necessary to become primary sources for vaccine advocacy, education, and administration. The program reviews the basics of immunology, identifies legal and regulatory issues pharmacists must consider before starting an immunization program, and focuses on practice implementation.
This certificate training program’s 20 hours of continuing education (12 hours of home study and 8 hours of live training) is a comprehensive program.
We are working through the logistics to arrange the virtual class and how you will be able to complete the injection assessment which is required to obtain your certificate of completion and CE. The virtual class will be offered Saturday, June 27, and multiple breaks will be added throughout the course of the day to ensure your learning objectives can be met and accomplished comfortably. The hands-on portion, which includes an injection technique assessment, will need to be completed within one week after the virtual class. We will provide more details and how to accomplish the assessment as this information is confirmed.
