Rick Rhoads, PharmD![]() |
Rick Rhoads began his career as a community compounding pharmacist in 2007. His experience in the nonsterile compounding lab and clean room led to extensive training in USP compounding chapters and Aseptic GMP. Currently, he is the Director of Compounding at University Compounding Pharmacy with responsibilities that include regulatory compliance and oversight of quality assurance. Rick is the co-chair of the Compounding Special Interest Group (SIG) for the California Pharmacist Association (CPhA) and is the recipient of the 2021 CPhA Steven C. Feldman Compounding Award. Dr. Rhoads is a member of the 2020-2025 cycle of the USP Compounding Expert Committee. |
Erin Michael, MS, MBA, CPhT, FAPC![]() |
Erin Michael, MBA, CPhT, FAPC joined PCCA in July 2006. During her tenure at PCCA, she has served as a Territory Manager, Member Development Specialist, CPMS Sales and Marketing Consultant, Regional Sales Manager, Director of Outside Sales and currently holds the position of Director of Member Engagement for PCCA. Erin has worked in pharmacy for more than 33 years, of which 27 have been in the specialties of community pharmacy and compounding. Prior to PCCA, she worked for an independent pharmacy in Northern California where she was the General Manager of multiple locations. Erin was instrumental in developing and implementing programs to promote and grow the compounding and traditional parts of that business. In 2007, she received her MBA from American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, Georgia and her MS from the University of Alabama in 2017. She has been recognized as PCCA’s Technician of the Month in August 1999 and California Pharmacist’s Association Technician of the Year in 2003. Most recently, Erin was recognized as the first female and first pharmacy technician to receive the Steven C Feldman Compounding Award by California Pharmacist’s Association and to receive full fellowship with the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding. |
Matt Martin, PharmD, BCSCP

Matt Martin, PharmD, BCSCP, joined the PCCA Clinical Services team in September 2014 and now serves as Director of Clinical Services. He graduated from Morehead State University with a BS in Chemistry in 2002 and received his PharmD from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2006. In 2020, Matt became board certified in Compounded Sterile Preparations through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. Prior to joining the PCCA team, Matt worked in compounding pharmacy for more than eight years and has experience with both sterile and non-sterile preparations. |
