Advocacy Day Presented by CPhA & UNAC/UHCP
Please join us Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Zoom to experience the collaboration between the California Pharmacists Association and United Nurses Associations of California, Union of Health Care Professionals. Advocacy Day is a grassroots effort which will provide insight and information related to legislation affecting the profession of pharmacy in all practice settings. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will receive an update on legislative bills that have been introduced in the 2020 legislative cycle as well as hear from key legislative leaders.
CPhA and UNAC/UHCP have partnered together on many legislative issues supporting and defending pharmacists. To date, we have increased pharmacist’s ability to provide medication without a prescription (SB 159) defeated a bill which would have resulted in a loss of pharmacists as a majority of the Board of Pharmacy (SB 716) and defeated several attempts by PBM owned pharmacies to eliminate the pharmacy technician ratio.
Our collaborative efforts have resulted in positive outcomes for our respective members, let’s continue this trend and advocate together in support of the pharmacy profession in all practice settings.
