Culturally Appropriate Pharmaceutical Care
This 1-hour training is aligned with AB 2194 and provides pharmacy professionals with the knowledge and tools to deliver culturally appropriate and inclusive care. Designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, the program emphasizes understanding diverse cultural perspectives, addressing health disparities, and fostering patient-centered communication to meet the unique needs of diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ communities. Learners will be equipped to enhance patient outcomes, build trust, and contribute to a more equitable healthcare environment.

Liseli Mulala, RPh, MPH, PhD CDCES BCMTS
Liseli Mulala, is a researcher, pharmacist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Her research is focused on diversity, equity and inclusion as well as assessment of relationships between social support and practice of diabetes self-care behaviors in African Americans in San Francisco and how pharmacists can use educational support to reduce disparities in people with chronic diseases.
Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Credit
The California Pharmacists Association (#0113) is approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Upon completing an evaluation form, participants will be awarded 1 hour (0.1 CEUs) of Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit. A statement of credit will not be issued.
