Let’s Do This! Implement a Successful Pharmacy-Based Travel Clinic

The pharmacist is in a unique position to help patients traveling abroad fully prepare by providing health risk information and recommending appropriate immunizations, medications, and over the counter products. The regulations regarding travel health services within a pharmacy are well established, it is now time to start the implementation and operation of a pharmacy-based travel clinic.  Pharmacists seeking to implement travel health services need to seek out appropriate resources for training, workflow and logistical considerations, and travel health-specific resources to optimally provide this service. This program will assist pharmacists in expanding their knowledge and skills related to implementing and providing services to patients traveling internationally.
