Integration of Specialty Pharmacy into an Academic Medical Center

Description

A multi-part presentation highlighting the roles and benefits of clinical pharmacists in the dual role of specialty pharmacy and integrated into autoimmune ambulatory care clinics. After a brief introduction to specialty pharmacy, we will review the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists in the specialty pharmacy as well as the clinic settings. A detailed discussion of the pharmacist workflow implementation in both settings will follow. The benefits and advantages of specialty pharmacist involvement in these settings will then be discussed, followed by a brief Q&A.

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists in the specialty pharmacy
